This applies whether the work is for alterations, an extension, new outbuilding, conversion or repairs; experience and good design are essential to achieve a positive result.

We have considerable experience with Heritage projects, dealing with Local Authority Heritage Officers within the Babergh Mid Suffolk District Councils, West Suffolk Council, Colchester City Council and Braintree District Council. Not only do we produce good designs, but also understand the requirements and processes of these and other Local Authorities.

The process begins with a free, without obligation meeting at your property, assessing the existing building, its historic significance and its surroundings, your needs, and any constraints. Following that meeting we will provide a detailed proposal of our potential work and any associated costs. Costs are always explained in advance whether they are ours, or that of 3^rd parties, you will always be in control of the project budget.

Once engaged we will be thorough and informative, and where relevant, we will challenge and suggest ideas, working positively to achieve your aim, within budget and in a timely manner.

Part of the work we carry out for you may include a Pre Application Enquiry with the Heritage Officer, which we will advise you of the ‘Pros’ and ‘Cons’ on an individual project basis.
