Project: Conversion of existing stable building to 2 bedroom annex.
Location: West Bergholt, Colchester. Essex.
Optimum Architecture was approached, following a recommendation from a builder satisfied with our previous construction plans, to produce detailed construction plans for the conversion of an old stable building into a two-bedroom annex.
We conducted a thorough survey and identified several opportunities to enhance the original plans, ensuring the project could be executed more effectively.
Additionally, we produced and managed the discharge of planning conditions, working with Colchester Council’s Planning Department to ensure the conversion was carried out in a way that respected the building’s historical character and its surroundings.
The builder was provided with precise construction drawings, enabling them to deliver an accurate quote and complete the project without complications.
The result is a stunning annex that externally maintains the historical essence of the original building and the wider site, while internally offering a modern, functional two-bedroom living space.
