Refurbishment and alterations to a 1980’s bungalow. Hartest, Suffolk.
The project brief was to modernise and make the existing property more self-sufficient and to create lovely home and enjoy rural life.
The original bungalow was built in the 1980’s as a timber frame kit house, faced externally with face brickwork and the roofed with ugly concrete tiles.
Our work involved reworking the layout to suit the client’s needs, improve the insulation levels throughout, replace the windows with high performance powder coated aluminium, apply a contemporary render finish and replace the concrete tiles with a suitable modern tile, including solar PV panels.
The project was a great success, the clients brief was accomplished, the building looks great and the site given a new lease of life.
