Project: New period styled dwelling
Location: Nr Hawstead, Suffolk
This Georgian styled new dwelling sits comfortably on the with a driveway, surrounding open space whilst hiding an unattractive barn.
The new dwelling was granted planning permission by transferring the residential status of the neighbouring barn to this adjacent site.
We originally gained planning permission with a Lawful development certificate application.
The client brief was to replicate a Georgian styled property for the client and his family, with good size rooms, a well lit space inside and engaging well with its outside space.
The house sites comfortably on the site, with well proportioned land around it. The dwelling is positioned so that it sits in front of an agricultural corrugated clad modern barn that is unattractive. This has resulted in an enhancement of the locality.
The dwelling is currently under construction and should be completed soon.
